Story

Hæ - My name is Siggi - I live in the town of Mosfellsbær near Reykjavík. I'm fascinated with Icelandic stones and their different strengths and colors. A few years ago I got back into collecting stones - after I got in contact with a true master of stonecrafting, His name was Valor and everything I've learned I got from him. I sell my things in Reykjavík during weekends and I've sold on Etsy in the past, but with the help of LavaRockReykjavik I'm no going to start selling my stone pendants and necklaces on my own site. Hoping you'll find something you like here.

Here I will add some pictures and information from time to time:

------

Hvalfjörður – Hvalfjord (Whale-fjord). A location where you can find many interesting stones.

Hestfjall in the background - (Horse-mountain) is an old volcano from ice-age. The location of most of the Jasper stones I collect.

Collection of some stones that will be going into the tumblers soon.

There you can see one Baggalútur (the dark red/brown stone) - which is a rare stone that forms inside Rhyolite when the lava is forming into solid rock. If you are a fan of Icelandic stones and would maybe like to take your kids looking for some unique stones when visiting Iceland (this is also great for people that might not be able to walk up on mountains are for long distances) - you can find these stones sometimes in the shoreline in Hvalfjörður at a place called Hvalfjarðareyri. I highly recommended and it's fun since the Baggalútur can be in all shapes and sizes.
